Nathan Freke secured his maiden victory in competitive GT3 machinery at round 10 of the 2014 Britcar Endurance Championship at Snetterton.

Looking set to drive both of the days races alone as his co-driver Ian Stinton was forced to leave the circuit at short notice, Nathan was hoping to get a good start to quickly move up the order from his sixth place starting position. A scintillating start and superb opening lap put the Solution Team entered Ginetta into second position at the end of the first lap. However all was not so calm within the Freke GT3 machine, a handling issue and a race leader with quicker tyres meant that Nathan was looking like he would have to run at qualifying pace for the majority of the race. Undeterred by the situation, Nathan put on a superb display to take his Ginetta G55 GT3 across the line in second position at the flag.

Starting race two from the front row in second, Freke was aiming to go one place better in this race with a setup much more suitable for the conditions. A superb start allowed Nathan into the lead at Riches on the opening lap. With the Mosler of pole sitter Manuel Cintrano hitting problems off the line it was a full on GT3 battle for the race lead with the Ferraris. However as proven several times in the past number of seasons, Freke is a class act behind the wheel particularly when it comes to controlling a race lead. Doing this to perfection over the 90 minutes, Nathan brought his Wiggle.co.uk Ginetta G55 GT3 across the line in first position, 1 minute and 26 seconds clear of his nearest opposition in second.

Nathan Freke – #12 Solution Team Ginetta G55 GT3:
“The first race was obviously very tough as I was pushing all the time. That second race however was pretty good actually, quiet, which is the way I like it! We made some changes after race one and that combined with a good start put us into the lead from the off. Thank you again to Ian and his team for providing me with a great car to race in this weekend!”
